Made for outside

Sample backyard clues

Set up a backyard hunt

  1. Choose outdoor. Enter name and age and select outdoor. Jungle Safari is preselected.
  2. Name your yard spots. Preview two spots for free. Add a photo of the tree or the shed if you like.
  3. Hide just before the party. Print and cut indoors, then place the cards shortly before the children go outside.

Paper and weather

The hunt is a PDF you print on normal paper. On a damp or windy day, put each card in a small zip bag or tape it down. The clues name your outdoor spots, so they cannot simply move indoors. If the forecast is doubtful, make an indoor hunt instead.

Common questions

We have a small yard. Is that enough?

You need ten places for a card. A flower pot, the hose, a chair and the gate all count. You can also mix in the porch and the front steps.

What if it rains on the day?

The clues are written for the outdoor spots you chose. Light rain is fine with cards in zip bags; a storm means postponing the hunt to a dry hour.

Can we do it at a park?

Yes, if you can name ten fixed spots and hide the cards shortly before. Keep the route within sight of the adults.

What do I see before I pay?

The theme character and two of your own hiding spots as illustrated clue cards, free and without a card. The full printable hunt is $29.99 (was $34.99).
